Heatwave a major cause of concern for environmentalists

April saw record temperatures in the Indian subcontinent. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) defines heatwave as “a period of abnormally hot weather, often defined with reference to a relative temperature threshold, lasting from two days to months.”
